Greetings, teachers and students:

On April 14th, 2023, the Ministry of Education announced and amended the " Guidelines for the Management of Epidemic Prevention and Universities in Response to COVID-19", and we will implement the new campus epidemic prevention on April 17th. Since September 12, 2022, the university epidemic prevention team has made the decision that the university adopts physical (in person) teaching for this semester, and asks teachers to prepare online teaching (synchronous or asynchronous) materials to secure the right of education for students who cannot come to school due to the epidemic (including students who have been asked for epidemic prevention leave and foreign students who have not yet been able to enter the country).

Please refer to the relevant documents announced on the website of the Academic Affairs Office (the link is attached at the end of the article), and follow the guidelines of the Ministry of Education to handle the relevant epidemic prevention measures.

The key points of the epidemic prevention guidelines are summarized as follows:

1. According to the latest epidemic prevention measures from the Central Epidemic Command Center, the students, teachers and employees who are Covid-19 confirmed or rapid-test positive but with mild or no symptom should conduct the self-health management measures for 6 days, and are not allowed to attend school (classes). During the self-health management period, those who are negative for the rapid-test can be released earlier.

Those with moderate and severe complications should be quarantined, and can enter the school (class) only after the quarantine is lifted.

2. Students or teachers who have been in contact with confirmed or rapid-test positive cases, if they are asymptomatic, can go to work and attend classes normally; if they have symptoms, they should take the rapid-test, and it is recommended to wear a mask. If the rapid-test is positive, please go to see the doctor as soon as possible.

3. Physical class

(1)It is not required to wear masks in indoor spaces on campus. Places such as school buses, campus shuttle buses, etc. are recommended to wear masks. In health centers, however, people should still wear masks in accordance with the regulations of designated places (medical care institutions) listed by the Central Epidemic Command Center.

(2)The classroom and interior space should be well ventilated and sterilized regularly.

(3)The equipment used in class should be implemented self-cleaning and disinfection.

(4)Performing arts courses are based on the principle of using personal equipment (instruments, costumes, performance costumes, etc.). Everyone should use personal wind instruments to avoid sharing with others (e.g. mouthpieces, etc.); plus, using a microphone in a play also follows the principle above.
