Application Timeline and Relevant Info for Students Intending to Change Majors in the 2024 Academic Year

Note:

一、依據本校學生轉系辦法第八條規定辦理。

1. In accordance with: Article 8 of the THU Regulations on Change of Major

二、113學年度預備轉系生申請定於113年5月1日至5月7日辦理，擬申請學生請至註課組網頁下載填寫預備轉系生申請 表，並請於前揭時間繳交至註課組登錄為預備轉系生。

2. The application period for students preparing to change majors for the 2023 Academic Year is set from April 26 to May 22, 2024. Students should fill out the requisite application form (downloaded from the Registration and Curriculum Office's website) and submit it to the Registration and Curriculum Office before the aforementioned deadline.

三、預備轉系生申請人數如超過當學年度各學系可招收轉系最 高名額時，由各學系考量教學資源之容量審查決定預轉人 數。

3. If the number of students applying exceeds the number of students that all departments can take in for the academic year, then each department shall set a quota after evaluating their faculty resources.

四、經核准登錄為預備轉系生者，於次學年起逕行修習擬轉入 學系之科目學分，其選課方式與核准轉入學系之學生相 同。預備轉系生至遲應於第三學年結束前取得擬轉入學系 專業科目規定學分，並於當年六月底向本處申請轉系資 格，經審核通過者得逕列入核准轉系名單。

4. Once students have been approved to prepare to change majors, they may, upon the start of the next academic year, take courses in the major which they intend to enroll in. The course registration process is the same for students preparing to change majors, and students who have approved to change majors. Students preparing to change majors should aim to obtain the required credits in the intended major by the end of the third academic year. In June of that year, the student should apply to this office for approval to change their major. A list of approved students will be released afterwards.

五、已登錄為預備轉系生者，其再申准轉系，應予取銷原預備 轉系生資格。

5. Students with the "preparing to change majors" status will have their preparatory status removed once they have been approved to change majors.

六、核准預備轉系學生依學期限修學分規定，未能在規定修業 年限內修畢應修科目與學分者應降級轉系，其修業年限、 繳費及應修科目與學分等依轉系辦法第4條規定辦理。

6. Students preparing to change majors who cannot complete the required courses and credits within the specified time frame should consider changing majors but as a lower class year (i.e., junior to sophomore). The years of study, fees, and requisite courses & credits shall be determined in accordance with Article 4 of the THU Regulations on Change of Major.

七、預備轉系生未通過轉系者，第四學年起自動喪失預備轉系 生資格，並應在規定修業年限內，修足原學系應修科目與 學分，始可畢業。如於修足本系應修科目學分後，已達輔 系或雙主修資格，得於畢業當學期規定期間內申請輔系或 雙主修資格。

7. Students preparing to change majors but not yet approved to do so will automatically lose their preparatory status in the fourth academic year of study. The student must complete the required courses and credits for their original major within the stipulated time frame in order to graduate on time. If the credits already finished for the intended major meet the requirements for a minor or double major, the student may apply for a minor or double major degree in the semester of graduation.

八、各學系預轉生第三學年結束前應修畢專業學分數如附件 一、預備轉系生申請表如附件二。

8. Attachment 1 is a list of all credits that preparatory students should finish before the end of the third academic year. Attachment 2 is the application form for the intent to change majors.
